Joshua Wolcott (1708-1753)
Joshua Wolcott was born on 15 Jun 1708 in Wethersfield, Hartford, Connecticut as the seventh child of George Wolcott and Elizabeth Curtis. He had nine siblings, namely: Elizabeth, Deborah, Ann, George, Caleb, Eunice, David, Josiah, and Sarah. Joshua was baptized on 27 Jun 1708 at Wethersfield.
Along with his mother, Joshua was named as the executor of his father’s estate. The father, George Wolcott, died in 1726. Priscilla was born 29 May 1768 in New York. But, we don’t even know her last name. Many people on the internet have her last name as Smith, but it seems that they all just point to other people’s trees on Ancestry as sources, so for all we know, someone may have just said “I dunno, let’s just call her a Smith.”

Mary Leona Stolp (1871-1915)
Mary Leona Stolp was born on 06 Apr 1871 in Sandwich, De Kalb, Illinois as the youngest child of Ludwig Stolp and Catherine Elisabeth Orth. Her parents were immigrants from Germany. She had thirteen siblings, namely: William, Adolph Edward, Amelia, Louis L, Theodore, Louise, Caroline, Julia, John S, and Henry. The names of two others, who died as infants, are not known.
When she was 26, she married Frank Palmer Miller, son of George Leifheite Miller and Jane Elizabeth Cornell, on 29 Dec 1897 in Sandwich, De Kalb, Illinois.

Leona Catherine Miller (1899-1976)
Leona Catherine Miller was born on 26 Aug 1899 in rural Sandwich, De Kalb, Illinois as the only child of Frank Palmer Miller and Mary Leona Stolp. She grew up on the family farm in Sandwich, DeKalb, Illinois.
Leona’s mother died in 1915, before Leona’s 16th birthday. She and her father took care of each other. He played fiddle at dances and brought Leona along, perhaps to ward off women who might be interested in the widower. Today is the 283rd anniversary of the birth of Samuel Russell. Born on 17 May 1733, he was already the third generation of his family to be born in America. Yes, our family definitely has some deep roots here. Samuel’s great-grandfather had been an immigrant from England as part of the Great Migration and his grandfather had moved the family from Massachusetts to Connecticut.
