Daniel Harris (1653-1735)
Daniel Harris was born on 16 Jul 1653 in Middletown, Middlesex, Connecticut as the second child of Daniel Harris and Mary Weld. He had nine siblings, namely: Mary, Joseph, Thomas, Elizabeth, Sarah, Sarah, William, John, and Hannah. Daniel’s sister, Mary, is also a direct ancestor in another branch of our family tree.

Timothy Johnson (1792-1871)
Timothy Johnson was born on 28 Jun 1792 in Middletown, Middlesex, Connecticut as the sixth child of Timothy Johnson and Grace Johnson. He had seven siblings, namely: Ebenezer, Grace, Hannah, Dorothy, Elizabeth, Cyrus, and Esther Johnson.
When he was about ten-years old, his family moved from Middletown to Turin, Lewis, New York.

George Brownell was born on 21 Jun 1711 in Little Compton, Newport, Rhode Island as the fourth child of George Brownell and Mary Thurston. He had eight siblings, namely: Giles, Phebe, Mary, Thomas, Elizabeth, Jonathan, Paul, and Stephen.
When he was 20, he married Sarah Bailey, daughter of William Bailey and Dorothy Graves, on 21 Oct 1731 in Little Compton, Newport, Rhode Island.

Roseanna Fuller was born on 16 May 1759 in Amenia, Dutchess, New York as the fourth child of Josiah Fuller and Irena Dickinson. She had seven siblings, namely: Irene, Varsel, Mary, Josiah, Jeduthan, Rufus, and Joseph. Her name is found spelled a variety of ways including Roseanna, Rosana, and Rosanna.
When she was 20, Roseanna Fuller married Daniel Spike, son of Daniel Spike, in 1780 in Saratoga, Saratoga, New York. The couple started their marriage in Saratoga County, New York1, but moved to Cohocton, Steuben, New York sometime before 1820.2

Katherine Hartshorne was born on 02 May 1682 in Middletown, Monmouth, New Jersey as the seventh child of an English immigrant named Richard Hartshorne and his wife, Margaret Carr. Katherine Hartshorne had ten siblings, namely: Robert, Hugh, Thomas, Mary, William, Richard, Hugh, Sarah, Richard, and Mercy. Her name is found spelled as both Katherine and Catherine.

Martha Eldridge (1667-<1735)
Martha Eldridge was born on 20 Apr 1667 in Driffield, Gloucestershire, England as the fourth child of Thomas Eldridge and Amy. She had three siblings, namely: Obediah, Jonathan, and Lydia. When her birth was recorded, old style dates were still being used. At the time, new calendar years started on March 25th. That means that March was considered the first month of the year. Martha was born on the 20th day of the second month of the year, which translates to April 20th.

Margaret Spike was born on 16 Mar 1781 in Saratoga, Saratoga, New York as the first child of Daniel Spike and Roseanna Fuller. She had seven siblings, namely: Daniel, Mercy, Thankful, Josiah, Sally, Catharine, and Lucy.
When she was 16, she married Pierce Brownell, son of Ezra Brownell and Hope Borden, on 28 May 1797 in Schuylerville, Saratoga, New York. She shared a birthday with her husband.

Pierce Brownell (1781-~1802)
Pierce Brownell is one of those ancestors who can frustrate his descendants. He lived a short life and left very little evidence. Most of what we know about him comes from a manuscript notebook that has been passed down through one line of his descendants. The notebook was started in about 1868 by Lucretia Brownell Hall, the daughter of John Brownell and Mary Ann French and granddaughter of Pierce Brownell. Much gratitude goes to the current owner of that notebook for sharing the information contained within.¹

It has been verified that Josiah Fuller is in our family tree, but it is difficult to know anything very interesting about him or to know anything much about some of his children. Records just weren’t kept, or are no longer available.
